The acquisition, which is pending regulatory approval, includes the brand rights, recipes, distribution rights, and capital assets of Thin Man Brewery's location at 166 Chandler Street.

The deal is a strategic move by CBW to boost its brewing capacity and expand its distribution footprint. By acquiring Thin Man Brewery, CBW gains access to a 16-state distribution channel and the potential to increase its brewing capacity by up to six times. In addition, the investment provides resources for forging new contract brewing relationships and establishing a community brewing center.

The acquisition is a result of Thin Man co-owner Bridget Termini's decision to retire. Termini stated that they had been searching for a partner who could carry on the creativity and quality of Thin Man Brewery, and they found that match with CBW.

Upon final approval, brewing production will be split between CBW's facility at 520 7th Street and the former Thin Man brewhouse at 166 Chandler Street. Thin Man's Elmwood Avenue location, which closed in July, is not included in the sale and will remain closed.

With this acquisition, CBW is committed to maintaining and building on the Thin Man brand portfolio, continuing to brew, market, and distribute beers from both breweries.
