Goose Island Beer Co. is a Chicago brewery and the oldest currently operating brewing company in Illinois. It was founded in 1988 in the Lincoln Park neighbourhood and was named after a nearby island. The brewery has since expanded and now operates locations across the globe, including brewpubs in Dubai, Toronto, São Paulo, Seoul and Shanghai.
The original brewery is located on Fulton Street and features a tap room and daily tours. Visitors can sample rare, one-off beers that aren't available anywhere else, and even chat with a Goose Island brewer. Local food trucks are also often parked outside the brewery.
