The story of Monday Night Brewing began when its founders met in a Bible study group through the Atlanta Westside Presbyterian Church. They started brewing beer in Heck's garage on Monday nights, and soon after, they began putting together a business plan to open their own brewery. In 2011, they launched their first beers, Eye Patch Ale and Drafty Kilt Scotch Ale, which were brewed under contract by Thomas Creek Brewery in South Carolina. A year later, they acquired a 20,000-square-foot building in Atlanta, installing a 30-barrel brewhouse.
