Nashville, Tennessee

Music City Beer Company is a Nashville-based brewery that was founded by former Harp & Fiddle owner Quinn O'Sullivan, The Copper Kettle’s Jon Robb, and musician Phil Vassar’s manager, Amy Millslagle. The company's flagship beer, Music City Light, was created to be an "experiential beer brand" that could be co-branded with the city of Nashville and promoted by the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp (NCVC). The beer is described as light but full of flavour, and the label is in the shape of a guitar pick with "Nashville, Tennessee" and a music note stamped across the top.

Music City Light is sold in downtown Nashville bars and restaurants, including Winners, Losers, Honky Tonk Central, Tootsies, Whiskey Bent Saloon, The Stage, and Acme Feed & Seed. The beer can also be found at the Nashville International Airport, where there is a Music City Beer Company store that sells Nashville-themed merchandise and beer. In addition to these locations, Music City Light can be found at various other establishments in Nashville, such as Teddy’s Tavern, Ole Red, Black Tap, Grand Ole Opry House, The Pub, and Broadway BrewPub & Grub.

The company has also partnered with the Nashville music community through an artist endorsement program, featuring a different artist or songwriter every eight weeks. Music City Beer Company also hosts contests and gives consumers access to Nashville experiences, such as tickets to the Country Music Awards, admission to launch parties, or opportunities to sit in on songwriting sessions.

The founders of Music City Beer Company wanted to create a beer that would allow people to experience the city of Nashville through drinking it. In the words of Quinn O'Sullivan, "It’s really important that people know when they’re in Nashville, drinking one of the mass-produced macro brands, it doesn’t really help them identify with people in Nashville. We wanted to create something that allowed them to experience the city through drinking the beer.”
