Relaxed, friendly atmosphere
Great brewery to hang out at in Charleston. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. They make you feel like a local. There’s a nice selection of beer and they also have wine for anyone in your group who prefers that. Palmetto frequently has live music in their outdoor area with plenty of seating. This is a nice spot for a visit while in town.
Fun atmosphere
Came here to kill time before a reservation. Fun atmosphere, seems to be filled with locals. Beer was good and reasonably priced. Fun games like big Jenga available too.
Nice relaxed microbrewery for a large group
This is a nice relaxed atmosphere microbrewery with long tables and a lot of space for a big group. We came out with about 10 friends and really enjoyed ourselves. Two bars make for easy service, and they have a very wide variety of beers to choose from. Everyone in our group left with a smile on their face. No food, but they had a great chicken-tender food truck that looked pretty permanently parked outside.
Large selection of beers
The front bar was closed during our visit on Sunday afternoon, but there is a tasting room/speakeasy located at the back of the place. They have lots of patio seating, but we got our drinks at the bar and found a table inside in the air conditioning. My Salted Lime Lager was easy drinking, and my wife enjoyed the watermelon cider that was available by the can.
Fair weather tastiness
I titled this way because, due to Covid, most, if not all, seating is outside now with the main taproom closed. Having said that, there is enough outside seating for 50 people. Live music venue with corn hole, of course. Large beer menu. Close to downtown but not close enough to walk to.
Great beer and many, many selections
From PB&J to coffee-flavoured beer, they have it all. The bartender was friendly and very helpful!
