Laurelwood Public House & Brewery

Over the next decade, Laurelwood expanded, opening locations in Sellwood, Northwest, and Portland International Airport. The Sandy pub, located at 5115 NE Sandy Blvd, was the sole remaining outpost after rising rents and market saturation forced the closure of other locations.

Laurelwood offers a variety of food and beverage options, including burgers, sandwiches, tacos, salads, and, of course, beer. They are also known for their family-friendly atmosphere, featuring a play area, hatchet-tossing lanes, and instruction provided by members of Celtic Axe Throwers.

In 2023, Laurelwood made the decision to shift to counter service and reduce their menu, which resulted in a smaller staff but kept operations going. Unfortunately, in August 2023, the pub announced its closure, citing high operating costs as the primary factor. However, the Laurelwood Brewery remains open for business, and their beers can be found in other bars, restaurants, supermarkets, and convenience stores.
